The current church of Christ Church dates from 1864 and is built in what is known as the 'early english' style. A church has stood on the site since the 12'th century, but neglect and disrepair caused the earlier structure to be be replaced.
The site itself has a far longer history, with the presence of Sarsen stones and the suggestion that the church sits on an earlier mound.
Another well kept church in good repair, though there is some internal evidence of damp in the walls.
This well situated church has plenty of character. It is normally open.
