A small country church in the NE corner of wiltshire, adjacent to Kempsford and the Fairford air base. The exterior of the church is unusual with both a central bell tower and a large west tower. Alas the day was overcast and dully autumnal, providing the church itself with few favours, so we'll wait a while before posting external views. The church itself dates back to the 12'th century with much surviving structure.
Castle Eaton is the home of the Red Lion pub, reputedly the first pub on the infant Thames. Down a long path from east end of 'The Street' you will find this well appointed village church.
